This is just a very short post written to celebrate the good things in life. In this case, it’s about leisure and coconuts.
Thailand’s Andaman Coast around Krabi and Ao Nang is pretty, with limestone hills and crags, and islands on the horizon. Countless Thai longtails ferry people back and forth between crags, beaches, islands.
In theory, I could go diving here as well. But I’m not really tempted. People say the reefs here are not at their best, a lot of bleaching is going on, and there are just too many people. I guess by diving the very best and exclusive places in the world, like Lembeh, Xmas, Halmahera, I got so spoiled.
Anyway so how to spend a day on the Andaman? Well, watching the sea, the longtails, tourists who think brown is beautiful, and dutifully do their best to acquire skin cancer.
And drink coconut juice. The coconuts in Thailand are the best, not too large, and slightly sweet.
With luck, one can even inhabit a coconut-shaped bungalow…
